About the Study
The study was conducted at Newcastle University’s Biosciences Institute by a team of esteemed researchers, including Dr. Thomas von Zglinicki, Professor of Cellular Gerontology with over 43,000 citations, and Dr. Satomi Miwa, Lecturer on the Translational Biology of Aging with over 10,000 citations. This research compared NOVOS Core against both a senolytic drug combination (a “positive control” of interventions previously shown to extend mouse lifespan) and a negative control group with no intervention.
In total, 38 male mice, aged 20 months at the beginning of the study, were divided into three groups: a negative control group, a group receiving NOVOS Core, and a senolytic group. While NOVOS Core was administered daily, the senolytic treatment involved two rounds of injections. Health markers such as frailty and cognitive function were assessed every two months, adding valuable insights into NOVOS Core’s impact on overall healthspan.

Specifically, as it pertains to NR, in this study of mice aged 22 to 24 months, there was a +5% lifespan extension vs. controls (p-value = 0.034, +39 days of life). In other studies, like this one done as part of the prestigious Interventions Testing Program (ITP) by the National Institute on Aging, there was no lifespan extension at all from NR in either sex of mice, with treatments starting from 8 months. - A Powerful, Accessible Alternative to Complex Medical Interventions
