Raymond Singh

Raymond Singh, a financial advisor and a state champion in powerlifting, shares insights into his remarkable journey towards longer-lasting health. With a career spanning over five decades, Singh embarked on a transformative journey, using NOVOS Core and NOVOS Boost consistently for over a year. Beginning with a pace of aging of 0.98, Singh successfully reduced it to 0.92 within six months, a statistically significant improvement.

Singh’s pursuit of financial independence has been a lifelong endeavor fueled by the aspiration to enjoy the fruits of his labor well into his later years. His story is not just about financial success but about prioritizing physical well-being to extend the prime years of life. Singh’s commitment to improving his healthspan and lifespan is evident in his remarkable achievements in powerlifting, where he continues to break personal records, even at the age of 68.

Younger For Longer: Raymond’s Insights

Hereโ€™s a summary of our conversation with Raymond.

Tell us a bit about yourself, your profession, and how you’ve approached life and health over the past year.

For 50 years, I’ve dedicated myself to hard work, starting from the age of 16. Throughout these decades, I’ve faced numerous lifestyle changes, often out of necessity rather than choice, and I’ve had to start from scratch four times in my life.

In my profession as a financial advisor, I’ve come to understand the crucial importance of financial independence. However, it’s clear to me that such independence is only valuable if one has the physical ability to enjoy it. This is where my journey with NOVOS comes into play. The number one advantage that I am seeking by using NOVOS is to give me another 20 – 30 more years to enjoy this financial freedom after working hard for five decades.

Could you share more about the changes in your life and work, particularly over the past year as you started using NOVOS?

Reflecting on my journey, I began my career as a financial advisor 30 years ago, freshly arrived in a new state where I knew only one person. With no support and the responsibility of raising children, I was making 200 to 250 calls daily to establish my businessโ€”an endeavor not for the faint-hearted. This determination led me to where I am today: autonomous, in control of my professional interactions, and enjoying the liberty that comes with it. Before I started NOVOS, I was always thinking about maybe putting a timeline of retirement, because I knew, I could feel, my body was slowing down. But now, as far as the target date is concerned, itโ€™s a moving target. I will quit when I want to quit, not when I have to quit. That, for me, is just a liberation!

The most profound impact I’ve noticed since starting NOVOS is on my physical and mental agility. I’ve always thrived on multitasking but noticed a decline a few years ago. Now, I no longer struggle with simple tasks like climbing stairs or dressing, showing the importance of balance and cognitive sharpness. These changes are especially meaningful to me, given my extensive experience working with retirees and understanding the critical role balance plays in longevity.

And, despite undergoing two major knee surgeries, I’ve achieved state champion status in powerlifting and continue to surpass my personal records. This is a testament to my commitment to maintaining strength and vitality, with no fixed plans for retirement or slowing down in sight!

What is the primary reason for wanting to slow down your aging?

For me, the primary reason for using this is to stay active and enjoy life to the fullest. I want to enjoy the next three decades and enjoy the fruits of my five decades of hard work. Staying active is crucial, but it’s equally important to relish the experiences and freedoms that come with it.

You’ve achieved the impressive feat of becoming a state champion in powerlifting at the age of 68. As the Arizona state powerlifting champion, could you share with us your current bench press, deadlift, and squat benchmarks?

I’ve surpassed the 1000-pound mark across all lifts. Recently, I achieved a personal best in the deadlift, lifting 405 pounds, which is equivalent to four plates. After not squatting for over two decades and having two knee surgeries in the last 18 to 24 months, Iโ€™m squatting 335 lbs. As for the bench press, I’m nearing a lift of 315 pounds or three plates. This level of performance, I’m told, surpasses that of many gym-goers in their late 20s and early 30s, which is very motivating.

You’ve talked about enjoying the coming decades and the fruits of your hard work while staying active. Can you share what you’re looking forward to the most with this healthy, long-term outlook?

I want to continue living the lifestyle I enjoy today. Looking ahead, I’m excited about spending time with future grandchildren. This, combined with my physical strength and mental sharpness, is truly the icing on the cake.

Powerlifting has been a constant in my life, but now, at my age and with my current physical condition, I’m not just participating; I’m aiming to break records, both statewide and, hopefully, nationally and internationally. When I’m not lifting, I enjoy golf and would like to get back into tennis when time permits.

I have an innate love for travel. My mother used to say I had “circles under my feet,” implying I could never stay still, and that’s held true throughout my life. Traveling is a significant part of my life and hobbies. It represents the freedom I’ve worked hard for, allowing me to enjoy the tranquility of nature without sacrificing comfort. This lifestyle, the ability to stop anywhere for a coffee or a cold beer, is something I cherish deeply and wish for everyone to experience.

Do you have any tips or recommendations to share with others?

I want to emphasize something crucial: the importance of implementing and executing a plan or strategy. I was fortunate to inherit a strong willpower from my mother, a trait that has been invaluable. While it’s essential to have a plan, the ability to dedicate time and effort to bring it to fruition is what truly matters. In my view, willpower is innate; no supplement or product can create or enhance it. However, once you combine natural willpower with a clear strategy and the readiness to act, the possibilities are boundless.
